YCIS Qingdao provides a vibrant and stimulating environment for students to excel in academics internally and externally.

Examination success continues

IGCSE British student, Anna Weston, having attended YCIS for all her Secondary education describes how proud she was to receive the highest grading for Chinese as a Second Language.

Top marks in IGCSE

Two YCIS Qingdao students achieved the Top in the World for Chinese as a Second Language; this was a tribute to the hard work and dedication of Choi Min Kyung, Liew Zhern Lang and their teachers. We are very proud of Min Kyung and Zhern Lang. Min Kyung was the very first student at the door when the school opened in 2006, and Zhern Lang recently completed his IGCSE course in 2014. Their achievements play a significant part in the history of YCIS Qingdao.

See Liew Zhern Lang’s news article here.

Bilingual and more

YCIS Qingdao student Tara Kim’s first language is Korean; she has become very confident in the world’s two top languages, English and Chinese. Through the YCIS bilingual environment her studies have excelled.

Top score in first IGCSE exam results

The school year 2009/2010 students were the first to enter and represent YCIS Qingdao in the prestigious examinations. Their results were outstanding and a tribute to the hard work by both the students and faculty.
