    Christmas on Ice

YCIS Qingdao held the annual Christmas on Ice event at the Sea Pole Star ice skating rink in Huangdao on December 14, 2016. Several restaurants within the local community came out to support this event and sell their goods. The show started with a special performance from some very talented figure skaters, and then the students were able to skate freely and play ice games including Ice Bowling, Snow Carts, and Ice Limbo. The students enjoyed skating around with Santa and riding in the sleigh, as well as pushing one another in chairs on the ice. There were smiles on many faces, including children, parents, and staff. We are happy that we were able to celebrate the holiday season with all of you during this fun activity!

They had to work to a tight deadline, submitting their reviews to the magazine the same day, interview the manager and chef, thus experiencing first hand the demands of being a professional journalist. The most accomplished review, as determined by the editors at Redstar, will be published in the January issue.
