    YCIS Qingdao held the annual Christmas on Ice event at the Sea Pole Star ice skating rink in Huangdao on December 14, 2016. Several restaurants within the local community came out to support this event and sell their goods.

  • World Class Accreditations at YCIS Qingdao

    Out of the many international schools in China, there is only a limited number of international schools to hold the prestigious joint accreditations through Council of International Schools (CIS), New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and National Centre for School Curriculum and Textbook Development (NCCT).     On November 17 and 18, Years 5 and 6 had our annual sleepover. This year it was a two-day event. On Thursday we held a Mini-Olympics, and Friday we held a Brain Olympics.

  • Journeys in Reading during Annual Book Week

    From October 31 to November 4, YCIS Qingdao held its annual Book Week. The running theme of the week was journeys. The students looked at how the art of reading and writing is a journey in itself, as well as the journeys, metaphorical or otherwise, protagonists embark on in fiction.
