As morning light fills the campus, a new school year begins. In the first week back, the YCIS Qingdao community has returned with renewed energy, excitement and anticipation for all that lies ahead.

In Early Childhood Education, some of our youngest learners are experiencing their first steps away from home. With the gentle guidance and reassurance of their teachers, they are learning to feel secure in a new environment, playing freely, exploring independently and gradually building the confidence to take those important first steps on their own.

In Primary, students have returned to their classrooms full of enthusiasm. They are listening, responding, reconnecting with friends and settling naturally back into the rhythm of learning. Beyond the classroom, the playground is alive once again, filled with movement, laughter and the unmistakable energy of children enjoying being together.

In Secondary, students are quickly finding their stride after the summer break. A new academic year brings new expectations and new challenges. With greater independence, self-discipline and purpose, they are ready to deepen their learning, explore new possibilities and continue pushing beyond what they thought they could achieve.

A new school year is now underway, and every child is moving forward on their own journey. We look forward to seeing our students grow through learning, develop character through community, and become more confident, capable and compassionate versions of themselves, one step at a time.
