    • At YCIS Qingdao, the health, safety, and well-being of all community members are always on top of our minds. After the announcement by the government that the school is due to reopen in late May, we are thrilled to welcome our Year 10 to Year 13 students back on our campus.

Greeting teachers and friends, smiling faces are seen everywhere in our school. More than three months without seeing each other face to face has made the on-campus learning opportunities a real celebration for all of us!

From this week on, our Secondary students at YCIS Qingdao started to return to campus phase by phase. We are delighted to see their quick adaptation to the new policies adopted in our campus life during this special time. When returning, our students have undoubtedly shown their flexibility and self-discipline which also sets an excellent example for the Primary students, who will return to school in the upcoming days!

Before returning to school, all YCIS staff have successfully finished their 14-day quarantine and have been submitting daily health declarations, including twice-per-day temperature checks. A detailed online zoom information session has also been planned for all students and parents, ensuring everyone an in-depth understanding of all-you-need-to-know before returning to the school. These all guaranteed that our students, when coming back to school, will be under a trusted healthy and safe learning environment.

From the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak to now, YCIS Qingdao has taken this situation with the utmost seriousness to make sure all of our students, staff, and community members are well protected. On the campus, much rigorous health and safety requirements have taken place. From 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., our hardworking Ayiswill clean and disinfect every corner to deliver a safe and clean campus for all students and staff.

We are delighted to see that our community showed great flexibility and caring, ensuring that remote learning did work and ran smoothly. The distance between our students and teachers did not become an obstacle for our rigorous learning atmosphere, but somehow, it encouraged everyone to learn and grow together! YCIS community members, thank you all, and welcome back!
