When creative thinking meets real-world challenges, and global perspectives are put into action, YCIS Qingdao students rise to the occasion.
On 14 April, YCIS Qingdao proudly hosted the regional round of the CNCC (China National Careers Challenge) — a business innovation and career exploration competition for young learners.
Through strong teamwork, innovative ideas, and confident presentations, our students achieved outstanding results, securing both qualification for the China National Finals and direct entry to the Global Finals in the UK.


This year’s challenge invited students to design and manage a themed amusement park experience.
Using Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Design Thinking, teams were required to:
Develop original attraction concepts
Design customer-focused services
Plan engaging event experiences
Create marketing strategies
Build a distinctive brand identity

This was far more than a theoretical exercise — it was a complete business simulation.
Throughout the process, students refined their ideas through discussion, iteration, and feedback, applying key business concepts such as the 4P marketing model.
On presentation day, they delivered their proposals with clarity, confidence, and strong team synergy — bringing imaginative and commercially viable ideas to life.



A highlight of this year’s competition was the inclusion of parent representatives on the judging panel.
Bringing experience from business, management, and customer-facing industries, parent judges added valuable real-world perspectives:
User-focused insight – As decision-makers in family consumption, they offered feedback grounded in real customer expectations
Professional expertise – Their industry knowledge encouraged deeper thinking and practical problem-solving
Stronger school–family connection – Their involvement created a meaningful bridge between learning and real-world application

CNCC is not simply a competition — it is an authentic learning experience. Students step into real roles such as product managers, designers, and marketers, gaining insight into how the business world operates.
