Serving the Qingdao community since 2006, YCIS Qingdao is considered a leading international school in Qingdao. Our unique multicultural and bilingual education approach, with a focus on both English and Chinese language learning, is recognised globally and helps distinguish our students in a globally competitive environment. 

We accommodate the entire age range of Early Childhood Education (ECE), Primary, and Secondary students, aged 2 to 18. Our students, who come from the diverse Qingdao expatriate community and represent 30 countries and regions, are educated by world-class teachers from more than 10 countries under our international curriculum, nurturing truly global-minded graduates. 

YCIS Qingdao is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). Additionally, our Secondary Section is authorised as an accredited Cambridge International Examinations Centre, and we are the only school in China to have received the Cambridge Award for Excellence in Education. 

YCIS Qingdao is accredited as an International Baccalaureate World School (IB). This enables YCIS Qingdao to offer students the full IB Diploma Programme in Years 12 and 13. The IBDP aims to develop all-rounded students who possess strong breadth and depth of knowledge that allow them to flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically.
