    • Our Year 13 students have had a very busy university application season, sending their details to over 50 international universities. Offers are already in from these fine institutions.

Year 13 student Lucas Na received an offer from KAIST, a top choice for science and technology, based in South Korea. The school ranked 39 in QS World University Rankings 2020. He is the first student from all our YCYW schools to receive an offer from KAIST.

Year 13 student Jansen Li received encouraging offers from multiple top art schools, as well as a full scholarship. This is a remarkable result as universities across the globe report a whopping 20 percent increase in undergraduate applications for 2021.

At YCIS Qingdao it is important for us to provide our students with as many opportunities as possible to ease them into rewarding future careers. We are delighted then to announce that even during these challenging COVID-19 times we boosted our Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) examination sessions from five to eight this academic year. We also increased the number of students taking the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) from 10 to 20. PSAT provide us with valuable data for future planning and reflection.

We are hopeful that this university acceptance list will grow further over the next couple of weeks and we shall keep you posted.
