YCIS Qingdao recently hosted this year’s Qingdao International School Network (QISN) Basketball Tournament. QISN sporting competitions are held throughout the year, with students competing in basketball, volleyball, football and table tennis. QISN tournaments present a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about team work and engage in friendly competition with other area schools.

For this year’s basketball tournament, 10 schools competed for the championship trophy. On Friday afternoon, boys and girls teams played on our campus’s full court gymnasium, while boys games on Saturday morning moved to nearby Lohas Park Gymnasium. On Saturday afternoon, boys and girls championship games were played at YCIS Qingdao.

At YCIS Qingdao, we emphasise providing our students a holistic education; sports, as well as academics and character education are all central to our educational ethos. This year’s QISN basketball tournament was a wonderful learning opportunity for students, and we looking forward to our next QISN sports event!
