    • YCIS Qingdao’s Lisa Bruno was selected as the first place winner and best foreign educator of all schools in Qingdao in a Foreign Teacher Talent Competition.

At the invitation of the Qingdao government, all international schools, Chinese private schools, Chinese state schools with a foreign department, and universities selected two foreign teachers to represent their schools in the competition. The event took place over several days recently, and the aim was to select the most outstanding foreign educator in Qingdao.

Mr Michael Orchard who also represented our school did very well in the competition as well. Thirty-two teachers participated in the first round, with 12 remaining in the second round, and eight in the final round. Each teacher shared his or her own unique talents, and there were many inspirational speeches.

Congratulations to Ms Bruno for confirming what we’ve already known – we have the best teachers in Qingdao!
