    • A piece of long-awaited news for our school community is that, on May 12, YCIS Qingdao has successfully passed the reopening joint inspections conducted by Qingdao Education Bureau and Huangdao District Education Bureau. We also received a formal verification pass notice in the same week. Hooray!

During the past e-learning months, Yew Chung International School of Qingdao has been actively preparing for the reopening of the campus. Meanwhile, our staff's epidemic prevention online training has also been in place to create a safe and healthy workplace and learning environment for all YCIS Qingdao staff and students.

On Monday afternoon, a face-to-face safety and epidemic prevention training for all teachers and staff was conducted at the school. This is to strictly ensure that all anti-epidemic work processes are emphasised and rigorously implemented.

The on-campus training, on the other hand, reflected how much we miss each other! After more than three months working from home, teachers were so happy to see our colleagues and friends again! Greeting with each other – although, with face masks, you could tell the reunion had brought how many beaming faces and back in the school!

Very soon, we will welcome our YCIS students back as well, with Year 11 and Year 13 coming back first.

We cannot wait for that day!
