There are documented scientific reasons about the importance of reading.to let kids enjoy reading and get the lifelong benefit of reading, YCIS Qingdao holds Book Week every school year. During the entire week, there are various exciting reading activities to make students feel the joy of reading. Therefore, book week is one of the most favourite school events on campus.

‘Reading to you’ sounds like a luxious thing these days. In every book week, YCIS Qingdao would invite storytellers from abroad to come to the campus or meet students online. The storytellers would deliver numerous fantastic stories, talk about the designated topics, and guide students discovery of the magic of reading. The theme of this year is ‘ ‘Reading The Classics’ in primary, and secondary’s discussion is about ‘community’.

This year’s Book Week was a blast! We hope all our YCIS students enjoy the activities and develop a passion for reading.
